Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. They are important as they form our contract with you. Kibworth Village Hall is a charity, we receive no funding and all  our costs have to be met from the charity’s income. We hope you enjoy the use of the hall but please bear in mind the following:

  • Respect for our neighbours
  • Leave the hall as you would expect to find it and ensure that it is locked securely.
  • NO SMOKING anywhere in the building

Safety First

Safety is your responsibility. Please ensure you, and all your users/guests are aware of the position of the fire escapes and the fire extinguishers.

In the event of a fire, evacuate the building and call the fire brigade. If it’s safe to do so please try and extinguish the fire.

Some surfaces within the hall can become slippery when wet, please take extra care when handling water or if it has been raining.

Please do not allow children into the kitchen, back storeroom or to wander around unsupervised.

Please do not use any equipment unless you know how to use it. We cannot take responsibility for any injury incurred during the period of the hire. Please make sure all heaters and lights are switched off before you leave.

We cannot take responsibility for any items or cash left behind on the premises.

The hirer of the hall must be present at all times during the booking and will be responsible for the conduct of all attendees pursuant to the hire.

Booking Times

Remember to make allowances for setting up and clearing away within your booking time. You will be charged for every 15 minutes over.

Damage Deposit for single bookings

Please report any damage immediately, this way you will not be charged for damage caused by others. A refundable damage deposit of £75 is required at the time of booking and will be returned to you after the hall and its contents have been checked  and it has been agreed that the hall has been left both locked and ‘as found’ and in a satisfactory condition. If any damage has occurred and the cost exceeds the deposit you will be given an invoice to cover the difference.

Audio Visual Equipment

If you require the use of any Audio Visual equipment you will need to ensure all correct and legal procedures are adhered to when using this equipment.

Ball Games – We do not allow ball games inside the building.

Decorations – do not stick anything on the walls in any of the rooms as it will bring the paint off. Any damage will be charged.

Bouncy Castles – allowed (under the age of 9 only)

Alcohol Sales – the building is not licensed for alcohol sales but you may provide alcohol for your guests free of charge. To sell alcohol on the premises a temporary licence would need to be acquired by the correct procedure.
